Guangdong Land Holdings Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries the "Group") is an indirect subsidiary of GDH Limited, the largest conglomerate of Guangdong Province operating outside the Chinese Mainland. Its headquarters is in Hong Kong.

Since August 1997, the Company has been listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited with stock code: 00124. The Company was formerly known as "Kingway Brewery Holdings Limited 金威啤酒集團有限公司 (which the Chinese name was used for identification purpose only)", with subsidiaries principally engaged in the businesses of investment holding and the production, distribution and sale of beer at the time. In order to achieve better development of the Group's business, enhance the efficiency and potential of its assets, and create greater returns to its shareholders, the Company sold its entire beer production, distribution and sale businesses in 2013 and changed its name to "Guangdong Land Holdings Limited". The Chinese name "粤海置地控股有限公司" has been adopted as the Company's secondary name as well. The change in name reflected the Company's post-transformation corporate strategy and its business objectives in specialising in property development and investment.

In April 2017, Guangdong Investment Limited ("GDI", which is listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited with stock code: 00270) acquired from GDH Limited approximately 73.82% shareholding interest in the Company. Following the completion of such acquisition, GDI, which held as to approximate 73.82% shareholding interest of the Company, has become an immediate controlling shareholder of the Company.

The Group is principally engaged in property development and investment businesses. Currently, the Group mainly holds the Shenzhen GDH City Project and certain investment properties in Shenzhen City; the Guangzhou GDH Future City Project in Baiyu District, the Guangzhou Laurel House Project, etc. in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City; the Foshan Laurel House Project and the Foshan One Mansion Project in Chancheng District, Foshan City; the Zhuhai Laurel House Project in Jinwan District, Zhuhai City; the Zhongshan GDH City Project in Cuiheng New District, Zhongshan City; the Jiangmen One Mansion Project and the Jiangmen GDH City Project in Pengjiang District, Jiangmen City and the Huizhou One Mansion Project in Dayawan District, Huizhou City, the PRC. The Group is actively considering and studying the development of new projects in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and first-tier and second-tier cities in the Chinese Mainland so as to in line with the core business and development direction of the Group.
